Title: The Darkest Prison
Author: Gena Showalter
Series: Lords of the Underworld, book 3.5
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Year of release: 2009

in Budapest, entered his bedroom.
QnD-review:
Summary: Two deities from rival pantheons are at each other's throats when one guards the other during either pantheon being in power. They try to best each other at every turn. During the verbal and physical battles they also fall in love but they are both too stubborn to admit it. When the Titans regain power the tables are turned and Nike is taken prisoner by Atlas. Their love manifests and Atlas makes the ultimate sacrifice in order to give Nike her life and her freedom.
Hero: Atlas, Titan God of Strength. (protector, warrior, seductive and possessive)
Heroine: Nike, Greek Goddess of Strength (tough, sarcastic, weakness annoys her)
Plot: There is an awesome revelation concering LOTU Paris in this short novella. I really didn't see that one coming and it made me very anxious for Paris' story because, man, is he in for a big surprise...For this revelation alone I'd recommend reading this novella.
Writing: As always Gena Showalters writing is witty and fun and her love scenes are hot!
Likes: The chemistry between Nike and Atlas is intense and desperate like. The final scene of the story is heartwrenchingly beautiful!
Dislikes: As with most novellas: Too short to deepen out the characters
Verdict: Nice installement of the LOTU. Short but sweet filling, enough to temporary satisfy in between the full length books. As said: for the stunning revelation surrounding Paris alone I'd recommend this book but I also suspect we haven't seen the last of Nike and Atlas in this series!

- 39, married to my real life romance hero, addicted to TV shows, reading romance novels and Twitter. I'm a chronic (e)book hoarder and my absolute favorite genres within romance fiction are contemporary romance and romantic suspense, but I don't shy away from historical, paranormal or erotic romance either. Even the occasional (urban) fantasy romance, futuristic and sci fi romance may make it to my Mount TBR. This is my corner of the world wide web where I let you know what books I'm hoarding, reading and reviewing.
